University of Nottingham

Air Quality

Nottingham, UK.

The University of Nottingham is in the top 1% of all universities worldwide, according to the QS World University Rankings 2014/15.

As with many education environments, universities are committed to sustainable design and construction on any new build projects they undertake. Many university buildings are considered world class in their consideration of 'green' credentials.

BREEAM provides a holistic approach to measuring and improving all types of new and existing buildings with air quality being one dimension which can be easily, but rigorously, tested to attain a BREEAM credit.

During the construction of a new Engineering and Science block on campus in Nottingham, Air Quality Plan prepared an Indoor Air Quality Plan. After the plan had been expertly prepared, our experienced team then conducted post construction testing on the built environment on behalf of contractors Galliford Try Construction.

Pertinently, BREEAM uses a straightforward scoring system supported by evidence-based science and research, as in the case of air quality testing.
